Dasylirion acrotrichum, commonly referred to as Green Sotol. Dasylirions are known for their architectural form and drought tolerance, a species native to arid regions of northeastern Mexico. It forms a dense, spherical rosette of narrow, bright green leaves with finely serrated margins and distinctive apical filaments. Over time, it may develop a short, woody trunk called a caudex and can produce a tall, slender inflorescence reaching 10–15 feet. Dasylirion is considered dioecious, which means plants are either male or female. Well-adapted to full sun and well-draining soils, this cultivar is cold-hardy to approximately 15 - 20°F (USDA Zone 8) and is highly valued for its unique thin leaf form and minimal maintenance requirements.
